Agni Vrana Lepanam for Burns

Following is a remedy for external ointment preparation to treat skin burns. It can also help in wound healing. Can be used to treat wounds in genital areas.

Ingredients:

  • Yellow Myrobalan or Chebulic Myrobalan / Terminalia chebula / Haritaki (हरीतकी) / Harad (हरद) / Karakkaya (కరక్కాయ) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] – 100 g
  • Beleric or bastard myrobalan / Terminalia bellirica / Vibhitaka (विभितक) / Aksha (अक्ष) / Thanikaya (తానికాయ) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] – 100 g
  • Indian gooseberry / Phyllanthus emblica / Amalika (अमलिक) / Amla (आम्ला) / Usirikaya (ఉసిరికాయ) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] – 100 g
  • Cotton seed oil / Binoula Thel (बिनौला तेल) / Patthiginjala Noone (పత్తి గింజల నూనె) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US] – 75 g
  • Beeswax / Madhumom (मधुमोम) / Theneteegala mainam (తేనెటీగల మైనం) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / UK] – 75 g
  • Camphor / Kapoor (कपूर) / Karpuram (కర్పూరo) [Buy Online at Amazon India / US / Canada / UK] – 10 to 30 g

Preparation:
Take triphalas, yellow myrobalan, beleric and gooseberries, in equal quantity and fry them in an iron vessel on a low flame until it turns into ash. Pour it through a sieve to get fine powder. Heat cotton seed oil and beeswax together on a low flame, mix them well and sieve them to separate any impurities. Pour triphala ash powder into the oil and mix  them well. At the end, add camphor and mix well to add good fragrance to it. Once cooled, it forms a thick paste like substance due to the beeswax in it. Store it in a glass bottle.

Usage:
Use it as an ointment for skin burns. It cools the burns and prevents blistering. It can prevent wound formation if applied after blister formation.

Also, it can be used on the wounds in genital areas to treat them.
