Bottle Gourd Juice for High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure comes mainly because of our inner enemies — excessive desire (kama), anger (krodha), greed (lobha), delusion (moha), pride (mada) and jealousy (matsarya). These disturb the mind. Today, people’s minds are not calm, peaceful, or happy. There is constant irritation, anxiety, worry, and tension. There is no real joy. From this restless mind, toxins are produced. These toxins mix with the blood and agitate it, which becomes the main cause of high blood pressure.

Now, let us see how to prepare a good medicinal food using Sorakaya / Aanabakaya (Bottle Gourd) for high blood pressure. For years, we have been swallowing hundreds of expensive tablets. But this mother-like vegetable (bottle guard) causes no harm. It has tremendous cooling power. It cools the excessive heat in the liver, pacifies Pitta dosha, and reduces the heat in the blood. God has given this wonderful power in bottle gourd to control high blood pressure.

Ingredients:

  • Bottle Gourd – 150 g (crushed)
  • Water – 1/2 liter

Preparation:
It is important to mash it well. If you put big pieces, it will not cook properly. The gourd should not be too old or hard either. Pour water, close the lid, and put it on the stove. See how simple and easy this method is! Now, after putting it on the stove, wait for the first whistle. Once the whistle comes, switch off the flame. After the whistle, let the steam escape slowly. Pour the contents into a vessel.

Usage:
Once it becomes lukewarm, drink it. If there are small pieces, you can eat them too. Drink this juice first thing in the morning on empty stomach for only 5 or 6 days. Don’t eat or drink anything for an hour after that.

If you are already taking medicine for high BP, then you should titrate the medication to a low dose and discontinue it after some period of time.
